    Mystery Science Theater 3000 was probably the best show ever. I loved that stupid thing.

    I especially loved when they mocked the shorts that used to play before the real features, like this gem from the 40’s: A Date With Your Family. Yeah, with a title like that you know it’s got to be good.

    Some highlights from this particular short:

    “Brother has a tight psychological grip on Junior.”

    “In the meantime, he will relax at dinner with those he loves.”
    “But not THESE people!”

    “Emotions are for ethnic people.”

    “Most families don’t have maids..”
    “They have daughters!”

    “There is no family so poor but that the evening meal can’t be eaten in an atmosphere of warmth and gentleness.”
    “And control, and repression.”

    I guarantee you’ll find it hilarious, even if you don’t like MST3K. Promise. ^^
